What They're Saying

"This program a must have for dude ranches"

"I felt this course to be incredibly informative and very user friendly. I believe the group exercises and team building is extremely useful within the guest ranch industry. I found the heavy focus on constructive management styles as well as Lauren's tips and experience within the industry incredibly useful for my own management. The practice of building your employees confidence and creating an environment for them to succeed and thrive was specifically helpful for me. Those examples along with the emphasis on maintaining moral and creating a positive work experience make this program a must have for dude ranches that wish to have a high rate of return staff."
★★★★★ - Kache Kearney
Former Head Wrangler and Barn Manager, Bar Lazy J Guest Ranch

"I highly recommend this course!"

"I can confidently say I feel all guest ranches will find this information applicable. Each time I have the opportunity to run through one of Lauren's courses I walk away feeling energized by new information and ideas, eager to try out the associated skills for myself. This specific course helped me to gain confidence in conducting team building exercises and implementing the material with my team through out the season. An example of results I've seen would be two members of my team feeling empowered to address and work through a conflict on their own and in a very mature and effective manner. I definitely recommend this course to anyone wanting to strengthen the confidence, cohesiveness, and communication of their team."
★★★★★ - Ane Mommsen
Head Wrangler, Triangle X Ranch

"I will never stop recommending this course!"

This course helped me know that I am on the right track for the manager I have been working to become. The confidence that came from the validation I discovered (and from Lauren's comradery) has helped me in ways I did not expect. Not just with my team, but with the others on the management team. My biggest takeaway from this course was more about what blossomed within me. I can already feel a change in myself and I cannot wait to put into place concepts I have wanted to but had no idea on where to start. I will never stop reccoemdning this course, or Lauren and her many services, for so many reasons."

Meet Lauren Pokay

Hi there! I'm so happy you're here.

For the past 12 years I've made it my goal to share my knowledge and passion of the guest ranch industry with others. After graduating with a bachelor's degree in outdoor recreation, I was blessed to be the Head Wrangler and Barn Manager at the Bar Lazy J Guest Ranch for 7 years. Shortly after my experience there I began traveling to teach the Dude Ranch Foundation Horse Safety Program. As a result of these two incredible experiences, I discovered a need for team development opportunities within guest ranches. This industry holds a very special place in my heart.
