MEET LAUREN POKAY!
My career began when I graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma with a Bachelor's of Science in Outdoor and Community Recreation. I moved to Wyoming shortly after graduation to wrangle at my very first guest ranch. It was during that season I knew I wanted to make a lifelong career working with people and horses.
For the past 10 years, I have made it my mission to educate guest ranch leaders and team members so they may discover their true potential, both individually and as a team. I believe horses are some of our most powerful teachers and I like to incorporate them in all of my on-site training clinics. Ranch staff members and team leaders are the fuel in the engine needed to keep things running successfully. Their experience matters and it ultimately determines if they come back to us year after year, much like our guests. That same experience has the capability to continue to shape their career long after they leave us, leaving a lasting impression on their lives. Imagine if every single staff member started their season with such a strong momentum that nothing could stop them. Imagine if they felt so strong as a team early on that they were 100% committed to keeping that bond, no matter what was thrown at them. Taking it one step further, imagine if that experience was powerful enough to stay with them as they move on in life, carrying that momentum into their next chapter. That is my vision. It is my goal to develop that connection early on in their experience, so they can face their goals head on and say with confidence, "I've got this....we've got this." I wish to pass on my knowledge of the industry, leadership practices and horsemanship skills, to set professionals up for success. In this process I strive to jump start the learning process for them, so they may reach their potential as quickly and efficiently as possible. I look forward to working with you! |
